Meatballs TexMex style with Queso Oaxaca
Ingredients
1/2 lb Los Altos Queso Oaxaca, grated
1 lb ground beef
1 large egg
½ cup of breadcrumbs
½ onion, diced
Cilantro, minced
Serrano chili, small diced
Pasta sauce
1 cup of water
Salt and pepper, to taste
Avocado, to taste
1) Mix the ground beef, a bit of queso oaxaca, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, cilantro, serrano pepper, salt and pepper.
2) Form the meatballs and cook with a little oil over high heat for 5 minutes until golden on all sides.
3) Add the pasta sauce, the rest of the queso oaxaca and the water. Let it cook for 15 more minutes over medium heat with the lid on.
4) Serve hot and add avocado. Enjoy.
